Ashley Robinson (MSW, APS) is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of C.H.A.N.G.E. nonprofit organization. She is also the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Ashley Monique, LLC. Her passion for helping individuals in need is what led to the establishment of this organization.  

Mission Statement 

The mission of C.H.A.N.G.E. is to enhance services and community mobilization through providing needed education, resources and mentorship to promote holistic growth.

Why C.H.A.N.G.E. ? 

This agency is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization established in 2018. This nonprofit organization is catered towards serving underprivileged families.  Our focus is geared upon promoting holistic growth among others. The organizational objectives for service implementation is centered around community mobilization, community-based education, resources and mentorship. Current services are community-based education, substance abuse education, evidenced-based curriculum training, care package assistance for single mothers,youth-leadership mentoring, life skills presentations, community outreach for underprivileged families, holiday giveaways to the needy, tutoring, PPE supply distribution during the pandemic and resource referral. Additional services will be offered soon.

Carey Owens

Carey Owens is the CEO of Owens Professional Strategies, LLC.  A graduate of Fisk University, he is utilizing his 25 years of corporate experience in the wireless retail industry to provide professional and leadership development to corporations as well as organizations. Carey Owens is married to Dawn Owens and has three awesome sons, Carey III (16), Connor (14) and Evan (13).  Carey currently serves as President of C.H.A.N.G.E. Board of Directors. He values his position with C.H.A.N.G.E. and looks forward to being a part of its growth!

Vice President:

Nick Rankins 

Nick Rankins is currently employed by the Lowndes County Public School System. Mr. Rankins was also just appointed to the Alabama State Board of Education on its Alabama State Textbook Committee. He recieved his Bachelor's Degree and. Masters from Alabama State University. Mr. Rankins has been awarded teacher of the year for his school, district and state of Alabama as a physical educator. He serves as the Vice President of C.H.A.N.G.E. Board of Directors. Mr. Rankins  goal in life is to always give back and be a constant change in ever day life.


LaKeysha Jackson 

LaKeysha Jackson was born in Montgomery, AL. After graduating from Lanier Academic Motivational Program (LAMP), joined the US Air Force Reserve to serve her country after 9/11 as a Financial Manager. While in the reserve, she attended Troy University to earn her accounting degree. She is currently employed by the Alabama Department of Mental Health, as a Fiscal Manager, for the Substance Abuse Division. Ms. Jackson serves as the Treasurer of C.H.A.N.G.E. Board of Directors. In her spare time, she enjoys crafting and graphics which transitioned to the initiation of her business, KJ's Kreations.


Kwatasian Hunt 

Kwatasian Hunt has over 12 years of experience working with nonprofits and is an Internationally Certified Prevention Specialist in behavioral health. She currently works for the Alabama Department of Finance Division of Risk Management. In her free time, she enjoys singing, being with her family and helping those in need. 

Community Advocate:

Dr. John Winston III

Dr. Winston received an engineering degree from the University of Alabama then received his medical degree from the University of Alabama School of Medicine. He completed his residencies in General Surgery & Colorectal Surgery at the Washington Hospital Center in Washington, D.C. After completing his training, he held academic positions at the Ohio State University then the University of Texas HSC at San Antonio.  He was raised in Alabama where his extensive family remains. He married his childhood sweetheart & has a young daughter. He enjoys photography in his spare time.


Community Mobilization Services 

Through community mobilization, C.H.A.N.G.E. engages and assists communities in identifying needs, priorities, resources, and solutions to promote representative participation, accountability and peaceful change.

Community-Based Education Services

C.H.A.N.G.E. conducts education classes to promote holistic growth through development, knowledge and community learning.

Resource Services 

C.H.A.N.G.E. serves as a liaison to link individuals in need, with agencies and organizational information that will provide them with assistance and resources. 

Mentorship Services 

C.H.A.N.G.E. provides guidance and leadership from a spiritual approach to aid school aged youth in prospering and succeeding in life.
